The 2013 Calendar is filling up quite nicely and it looks like it's going to be another full season for 997 Register.

This year's PCGB's National Event is being held at Silverstone Racing Circuit, Northamptonshire over the weekend of the Classic Racing Festival on 26 to 28 July 2013. http://www.silverstoneclassic.com/page.cfm/Link=1/t=m/goSection=1

The main focus for us is the Porsche Parade being held at lunchtime on Sunday 28th. July, when it is hoped to have 911 x 911's on the track to create a world record and mark the 50th anniversary of the 911's 1963 début at the Frankfurt Motor Show in fine style. [:)]

Naturally, since 997 model range has been Porsche's most successful 911 of all time, I very much hope we will be well represented on the day. Guinness Book of Records will be there to formalise proceedings and there'll be plenty of commemorative photos around - so it's your chance to be part of history.[;)]

Bookings are being taken now and there's a great 2-4-1 deal if you buy tickets before the end of next month.

Contact is http://silverstoneclassic.seetickets.com/event/silverstone-classic/silverstone-circuit/674815or call 0871 231 0849. Booking code is C13216 for the deal and C13911 for the Parade. I, myself, phoned and found the process quick and simple - no need to quote your membership number, but you do need both booking codes!

You'll require an Entrance Ticket into Silverstone, an Infield Pass "" to park up on the PCGB site and a Parade Lap Pass. All will be posted before the off.

There's plenty going on at Silverstone over the weekend, but if you fancy a 997 Register meet up, say on Saturday evening for a beer or meal, post up here and if there are enough of us, we can sort something out.

Any further info. needed? Just give a shout. [:D]

You only need one of the codes

C13911 - For the boggoff, infield parking AND the Parade lap.
C13216 - For the boggoff and infield parking.

Please remember :-

Discounted 2-4-1 tickets for Silverstone are only available up to the end of March (3 days to go) So, if you're planning to take part in the 911 x 911 Parade lap in your 997 on the Sunday, please let me know and get your tickets ordered now.

It's a busy 3 days at the track with all sorts of events going on.

We've nothing formal arranged as Register as yet, but may look to do something if there are enough of us attending.

Regards,

Clive.

Thanks for the info Clive. I was a bit slow on the uptake and have only just called them. Although it's no longer March (sharp, aren't I?!), they had no qualms about honouring the BOGOF offer using the voucher codes above! :) Other may be interested to know!

Couple of small issues to watch out for though: the confirmation email states "1 x adult ticket" so I rang to query..... They said that it also states "CCM Package" on the email - this is the bit that provides for 2 adult tickets under BOGOF promo'. I asked them to provide written confirmation that I actually do have 2 adult tickets, as "CCM Package" means nothing to me. Also, they charged me the Saturday price for the Sunday (£53.75 instead of £48.38) but this, apparently, is because I've got the BOGOF. So, is not strictly BOGOF, as the Saturday price is applicable on Sunday (and is therefore more expensive) when using the code. Still better than two full price tickets though :) I just hope they know what they're doing - I guess I'll find out 10 days before the event, when I receive the tickets in the post ;-)

There's no confirmation on their email about 'infield' or 'parade', either, but they assure me that the 'CCM Package' part of the confirmation makes provision for this.

Looking forward to it.

If you go to the link on the email they send you after purchase & email:

customercare@seetickets.com

Enter your reference number with a query as to what tickets you have ordered they will email you confirmation similar to below....

"Hello,

I can confirm that you have used the code C13911, and this entitles you to;

2 x Entry Tickets
1 x Infield Parking Pass
1 x Parade Lap Pass

Kind regards,

Liam.

When I click on the link in the confirmation email, I get something different: " 1 x Sunday ticket - CCM Package" ( same as stated on the email). Following my request to them, they have since sent me an email with details what CCM Package includes (2 x Sunday tickets, infield pass and parade lap pass), so I'm assured that I have 2 entrance tickets :)
