Having got all excited about leaving my little piece of driftwood in the middle of the Atlantic to reacquaint myself with my car, see friends and have a good time etc, it looks like half of the country has been or is about to be washed away !! Very difficult to get any real idea as to how bad the situation is from all the way over here - just picking up news from websites etc.

Has there been any update from Silverstone regards the event....anybody got any ideas ?? Messages in a bottle please.....

Cheers,

Ben

The Metcheck report doesn't look too bad - excellent on Friday, so the venue should be dry, with sunshine, showers and light winds passing through over the weekend. And, Monday looks very good for the Track Day.

Whatever the weather's doing it'll better than down here in Gloucestershire at the moment. [&:]

In fairness, it's only a few parts of Gloucestershire that are affected. Large areas are perfectly fine.

I'm sure the thousands of people with houses waist deep in water, and no power and the estimated 350,000 residents of Gloucestershire without clean running water for a predicted 2 weeks will be grateful to know large areas are perfectly fine. [;)]
