As all register members should know from the Mailchimp email I sent out to the mailing list ( apologies to those who should have been removed from it but I guess the list gets updated to add new members but not to remove those leaving most of who won't read this anyway! ). We have been requested to provide 25 Caymans of all ages and types for a register parade lap of the circuit on the Saturday of the National event at Silverstone this year, if any users of the forum have not registered that they own Caymans then they can join by updating their profiles as members can be members of more than one register subject to them owning an appropriate model for the register to add to their profile, if you wish to join the parade then contact the events section on email events@porscheclubgb.com and book your tickets and a place on the parade. You can also book by phone and card by calling the office at Cornbury House

Kevan

I have had a reply from Narinder Webb that she has added my details to the parade list.

Looking forward to its very much!

How come the Cayman register only gets 25 places when those front engined cars mentioned above get 40?

[:D][:D][:D]

I blame the directors - Peter, Brendan, Nick.... And that's just the yellow ones!

That's an easy one - age before beauty. Well, in this case it's age and beauty before Caymen[:D]

I sent an email to Narinder as soon as I saw your email Kevan but like others here I've had no response. I will be there and I'd love to take part, seems a shame that these emails are being ignored.

I have spoken to Narinder on the phone today and apparently she

will be sending out further details soon when they have full list of interested parties and format for the day.

A simple email would have sufficed!!!!!

It does seem that while behind the scenes the club are pressuring the volunteers to improve their communication skills with greater use of Mailchimp etc maybe the HQ staff should be improving too. I'll try to get improved updating from HQ.

I spoke with Chris and Narinder this afternoon and the response to my request has been outstanding, over the next couple pf days they should be sending me the list of attendees who wish to join the parade as the list stands at present, there will be register parking but I don't as yet know for how many nor how the club area is to be divided up.

I will be at the workers conference and AGM next week and will be having discussions concerning the cars to join the parade, register parking and what the layout of the club area is to be.

This year we are expecting the new Cayman 718 to be launched nothing heard as yet on that but I will be going to the 718 Boxster Launch at the OPC next week and suspect that there should be some news on the Cayman before much longer, we can only expect it to be one of the most attractive cars built by Porsche but then all Caymans have been.

I am attending on the Sunday, so can't take part in the parade (shame), but would like to park in the PCGB infield area. Is there a code I can use to get the infield pass, as on previous years?

Alan

I've emailed Narinder to see if there are any slots left for the parade... guess I might be too late. I'll look out for a reply.

Any news yet on who the lucky 25 Cayman owners are who have been chosen to take part in the Cayman parade on the Saturday of the National Event?

John

Think you should have had an email today, saying if you have been given a place or not.

i haven't lol
