What a fantastic weekend, glorious sunshine throughout with a great selection of cars and really well organised too (big thanks to all of those involved). Thought I'd post some of my pics until John or Rick come along with some better ones!

The Bonhams auction had some interesting cars, I fancied this one (seems it didn't sell):

This tidy looking Turbo sold for £4,600:

This 924GTR is still for sale (it's been on the market since 2006 I believe)...

An outstanding set of pictures Peter. Were these really from your bargain pocket point and shoot?

It just goes to show what you can find when you go further than the Club and Fire Engine Bar. [;)]

Thanks John, yep £37 on ebay for a new Sony camera was a real result, I'm chuffed with it and it also takes reasonable movies - I have a few from the rally arena that came out well.

Sorry for disappearing early on Sunday, the heat just got a bit too much, I did look everywhere to say I was off (well I went to the bar) but no one was around, then half way home I realised I had my radio with me. Doh!

I'm surprised, and pleased, you couldn't smell where I was. The heat was very un British and, if I may make one criticism of your £37 camera, it didn't quite capture the red burnt flesh tones of a lot of the people there. [:D]
BTW my £63 Mission speakers look pretty good - I only hope they sound as good.

2nd that... Thanks for a great three days gents.

Similar apologies for not saying farewell on the Sunday - I wandered off for a bit and then lost track of folk before heading home and was feeling pretty grotty from the heat again.. Had a great time, good to see so many people and their machines. Next year I think I will make sure I get book a pitch on the campsite rather than the albeit nice and comfy hotel too many miles away.

Great pics Peter ! Have got some too - just need to figure out how to post them as thery are too big to embed. [&o]

Hope Simon from ESS didn't see it [;)]

Was sorry to miss the weekend [:(] looks like you had a good one

Looks like it was a great weekend, sorry to miss it.

Those pics are really good from such a bargain price camera, Peter. I also love the 993 'hearse' [:D]

Anyone going to Woodvale Rally this weekend - PCGB have big display and loads to see and do. I'll be there on the Sunday - car will be in the PCGB area.

Heads off to pray to the Sun Gods......[8|]

Nick---- Geoff Ives assures us that he personally booked the best possible weather for Woodvale nearly two months ago!!-----so who would argue with that?
Silverstone was great. We thoroughly enjoyed it, but the drive home cross country with the top down in glorious sunshine, unworried by stone chips, dirt and brake dust, was the best part of all.
The 944 Cab. may be a concours car, but it is still a wonderful much loved drive. Nuff said.
Sue.

Hope you're right 'cos the forecast is not so optimistic.....[8|]

I knew I shouldn't have bothered waxing the car at the weekend[:D]

Love the pictures Peter... An absolutely fab weekend... The heat got Stephen really bad on Saturday.. He ended up with a touch of sunstroke "I dont need that sunblock - Im a REAL man" . Us Irish are definately not used with the sun. [:D] My Turbo never coughed the whole way over and back and managed 34mpg average ....! Really enjoyed meeting you all and putting faces to the cars.....! [;)]

He wasn't alone. [&:] I missed out on a serious R11 BBQ Saturday night and only managed one can of beer - something of a record for 944 Camping expeditions.

We need to get our buttocks in gear to ensure we are booked on block for camping next year.

Definately have to get the whole crew together in the one spot so there will be no excuses next year. I met up with the R27 crew at Great Billing and I was wrecked....No alcohol was consumed[:(].... Stephen was only fit for the bed at that stage.... [:'(]
