Beaky passed his MOT today so he and I will be at Silverstone all weekend. [:)]

Our presence this year is a little different to previous years as we aren't the principal Club and Barry refused to park in the ash fields again. This being the case we have Race Centre, Club Shop and 20 cars (we hope) just over the second bridge on the left ( the opposite side of the National straight to last year).

The main Porsche Parking will be on the outside of the track behind the main grandstands at Luffield (as best we can make out).

With 1 week to go we still haven't seen a proper dimensioned pitch allocation drawing yet so we could have room for more cars or none at all.

Apologies for being slow on this, but I think I read it's too late to get the reduced rate tickets now, is that right? What about the car park pass (assuming there are more than a handful of parking spaces of course!), how do you apply? Saying all this I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it, if the weathers good I've got a lot of work to do to the white car, so may have to skip it. It's a shame there's no Porsche reaces this year, but I assume there are still the Group C cars which would make it worthwhile. Congrats on the Mot, my 944S passed last week (second time round admittedly).

Should be there Thurs Fri and Sunday! A9XXC passed Monday - 1st time! Changed the gearbox and n/s rear trailing arm (arm bent and knocked out bearing in gearbox) today Mike

I'm only there on the Sunday. Shall we set a time and place for a 944 Register meet? Suggest beer time at a suitable venue, is the Fire Engine bar there?

Good to hear you (and Beaky) will be there John. Are you camping? - I'm just about to book our pitch. Sian

Not this year as I have to set a good example so can't be allowed in situations where I might set fire to things. [8|] I assume you are looking at Whitlebury Hall as last year? It is quite tight so try to get together as a group to form a strategic enclosure with defendable boundaries. R11 have an extremely good set up so it might be worth phoning Greg to see if he can put you in touch with Joy & Steve.

I understand the Fire Engine Bar will be there, 13:00? Mike
Let's make this a date. 944 gathering, 13.00 at the Fire Engine bar. Owners of other models are always welcome, of course! [:)]

Hi Paul - I dont know how to open a new thread . I would love to come to Classic for one day of weekend does anyone have a ticket I can buy preferably with parking. 07968855582. Hope this is ok? Cheers Ron

No sign of anyone with unwanted ticket- will have to pay at gate. will see you at 1300 weather etc permitting. Cheers Ron

Hi Ronald I have a spare Ticket but will not know until late Saturday Evening if its still spare as I plan to take the Girlfriend but she cannot let me know tell Satuarday if she would like to still come with me on the Sunday. I have taken a note of your mobile number & if its still free I will text you Satuarday Evening & arrange to meet at Service Station by the M1 15A to give you the ticket & the cost would be £17.50 half what I paid for 2 Tickets & I have infield parking too for my Cayman so sorry you would have to park in the customer parking outside & walk in. I will text you on Satuarday if I still have the ticket for Sunday other than that on the day it will cost you £35 or £40 on the gate with outside parking. Yours Truly Kevin. ( Porsche Cayman S )

Hi Kevin, Thanks for texts- is the outside parking ok and available do you know. If so let me know if still available Sat night otherwise i will pay at gate. Thanks again Ron

Hi Ronald Yes the outside parking is OK & Free but infield parking is not avaiable on the day. Text you at about 7.00pm Tomorrow. Yours Truly Kevin ( Cayman S )

Sorry - I know I suggested it but I can't make Sunday (Did Thursday and today as planned and will be there Saturday instead) Mike

Good to see so many of you at Silverstone. Thanks, as always, to all those who helped out over the weekend! [:)] Porsche and Polo is the next big event, and based around the "middle-years" models including the frontrunners. Book it now.
