Silverstone International Circuit

Yesterday I attended a trackday at Silverstone using the International layout. There were a scattering of Porsches in attendance. Was anyone from this forum there? Enjoyed driving the 911 on there but was a touch concerned at the thick layer of frost on the main pit straight on arrival!

I'm slowly getting tired of extremely poor driving standards from owners of GTRs who clearly believe the car will drive it for them. Were some interesting battles (and near misses) between these and a couple of Turbo S's. Not good.

Got to see my first Mclaren MP4-12C which was in attendance by the owner of Eurocarparts, who's other car on track was a GT class prepared Ferrari F430. What a choice to have....

I'll get a couple of piccies up soon.

I was at a open pit track event there on the full GP circuit on Sunday this week which was great, only two other 997 there though, mostly Caterham and some Jap stuff, the nearly new Evo which clearly hit something hard though as it was in the car park afterwards needing a flat bed to take it home.

I like these days run by the circuit as you can get 20 mins with instructor in the new magane for just £60 and for £25 they come out with you for 20 mins in your car, a bargain.
