I've just received the following from Robin Walker, our Registers Director.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]The organisers of the Silverstone Supercar Showdown, who are organising the British round of the FIA GT championship at Silverstone over the 5/6/7 May 2006, have asked if there are any 21st Century Porsche owners that would like to take part in the Supercar Tour from RAC in Pall Mall, to Silverstone.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I have attached the application form to this e-mail.[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Perhaps we could supply the tour with 6 modern Porsche cars, and suggest the following :-[FONT=verdana,geneva"]Carrera GT, 997S, 996C4S, GT3, GT3RS, 996Turbo, GT2, [FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Would you like to ask your members or owners of the cars if they would like to take part and send them the information and application form I have attached.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I will be arranging a Club Parking area that the organisers have offered for the "other" club members cars, as well as much reduced price tickets for the day (s) or the weekend.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Please let me know if you have members who would like to take part in the tour, they should make their own arrangements to register and pay the entry fee.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Any further queries, please make them via the Forum so that all can benefit, and so that I can send emails to PCGB members![FONT=verdana, geneva"]Cheers[FONT=verdana, geneva"]John[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I'm up for the reduced price entry fees as we were planning to go to this anyway.
any details on where to get them would be welcome[8D]

Hi Mark
In the case of all non 911 Turbo Register members, then the answer is via your own Register Secretary - I guess that means that you should be having a word with Robin!
Cheers
John

OK John - not aware if I've got the email yet as I can't get into it this morning![&o]
I didn't realise - I just thought Robin had asked you to organise.

Sorry - should have realised. Delete these posts if it makes more sense...[:)]

Edit:

Actually - I've not got the email - I'll get in touch with Robin [;)]

We had probably best not get involved in a debate as to what constitutes a supercar as opposed to a super car!
Cheers
John

I was meaning this bit John:

"I will be arranging a Club Parking area that the organisers have offered for the "other" club members cars, as well as much reduced price tickets for the day (s) or the weekend. "

Not trying to muscle in on the Turbo's!

Hi John,
May be able to make the day & park the 996TT in the club members area, do you know where it is at the track (infield or outside?) and the deal for a day visit? Thanks in anticipation.

I had thought that the list, presumably compiled by the organisers, would have been sent to each of the relevant RSs.
