Anyone fancy a track evening on the Silverstone GP circuit with Goldtrack (www.goldtrack.co.uk) Bit late notice but you never know if work is getting too much, this is the best antidote!!

£135 with a discount if you are Circuit Driver magazine subscriber.

I'd like to do one when I get a roll bar fitted to my Roadster, but that particular one is my wedding anniversary, so it would be no good anyway. Anyone doing any later in the month?

Anyone doing any later in the month?

Yes, if my cars ready and run in.

I may pop along to say hello on the 1st (though I promised myself I'd not spectate anymore[:(])

I can't do the 1st as I'm in Dublin but am keen to get at least one Silverstone evening in this year....perhaps when we are sure LIL will be there. [;)]

Hmm, I'm going to the 'Ring from 18th to 21st, so I might have to do some smoozing to be allowed a track evening as well. 24th would be the one for me as I don't want to be getting home late from a track evening then off at 5am the next morning to the 'Ring.

That was quick :)

didn't get any pics of a red turbo then ? :(

do you think the Boxter driver wants those pics? [:(]

Hi Dave,[FONT=verdana, geneva"]Blimey, you don't hang around, only just got in and the pics are already on the net![FONT=verdana, geneva"]Sorry, I didn't spot you there, although I did see the Clio with the web address on it.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]It was an excellent evening, with less than 40 participants there and an open pit lane it was something of a bargain :)[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Sadly my front pads evaporated before the end of the day so I cut it short, apologies to everyone who I didn't say bye to, but I think most of you were out on track enjoying yourselves when we left (just after the circuit reopened following the Boxster BBQ moment).[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]There was a lovely 968 race/track day car there I was rather taken with, in Black (its original colour was yellow) it was seriously lightened (fibreglass bonnet, magnesium wheels etc, etc) and certainly seemd to be going rather rapidly when I watched it from the pit lane.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]I also rather fancied the Alfa SZ in the paddock, and even though its fibreglass was starting to deteriorate it still looked outrageous.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Apart from the pads (which practically seemed to go from 3/4 worn to non existent in no time at all), and the continuing oil pressure/temperature problem, my car was running well, it was great to have decent levels of grip back again after replacing the worn wishbone and also realising that for some bizarre reason my right rear damper was at full hard, with the rear left at about 1/3 hard. Doh![FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]If I could, I'd be plotting to go to the next one this Thursday, but suppose I really ought to be doing some work instead...[FONT=verdana,geneva"]
