Not had a call on here for a track event for some while.

I have been thinking of doing the Goldtrack evening track event at Silverstone on Monday 25th July, cost is £159.

Anyone out there fancy having a run out? www.goldtrack.co.uk

Sounds good to me mate. Definitely want to go back and hopefully this time get some more track time in. We had 2 968's out on Monday sorry to the owners if there on here and I didn't get to say hello.

Hi Steve

I would have done but the marshals got there first!

He wasn't the only one, this MG went out without his strap attached, they ended up taping it down! Unfortunately he only went round with it popped up once and I was talking!

Would have loved to do this but have something booked with family, will deffo do a day/evening before September though..

That 964 looked to be going well, I let him go early on when I was warming up. Same guy as on PH talking about racing a boxster?

Yes, it's a chap called Lee who went from a 996 GT2 to the 964. Spent a big whack getting it to be an out an out track car which is now up for sale (£35K) to fund his desire to go racing. There is a feature on his 964 in next month's Total 911 mag.

just had an e-mail back from Melindi of Goldtrack, there is a possibility of a modest discount for us............. watch this space

Price is now £139 for all Porsche owners booked direct with Melindi at Goldtrack melindi@goldtrack.co.uk

ie applies to anyone who sees this, whatever car you bring, just say you saw it on the 968 forum

Hi guys - I was in the white 968 reg KCH

That MG was flying around there, most impressive.

The rain was unbelievable but it was good to see people kept going regardless, we managed to get 32 mins of continual track time in during the downpour. Everything kept nice and cool by the weather obviously :)

Hope to see you all there in July and meet some of you guys face to face.

Marcus

That MG is a well sorted historic racer, always goes well!

Were you driving with Oct?

If you look on here there are loads of pics of the evening. If you want to pic 2 or 3 I'll email the full sized non watermarked file.

This is one

20 days to go, anyone else tempted?

I have just booked at the reduced price of £139 (as above) -- what with the F1 there in a few days, you'll get plenty of chance to 'sight' a few of the corners, especially the new Arena section.

Cut and paste who's coming here:

Paul Follett ....

Here is a link which gets you into the Goldtrack booking system

http://www.goliathreservations.com/res_web_directory.asp?supplierCode=GLD100&rangeId=1

you will need a Promotion Code to get the reduced price of £139 -- that is 'Porschecrew'

NB I have not actually booked my slot this way, so if it does not work for any reason pls advise me.

All booked, car not ready so have a bit of work to do (well my garage has if they can fit it in) but will be good to get back out. Haven't driven the car in months, so will probably be taking it rather easy!
