Would anybody be interested in how to get the rear wiper to sweep once and avoid the nasty groan of the subsequent dry sweeps?
Christian

This is a good little mod, covered on Rennlist some months ago, requires removing the relay and adding a feed at the motor, easy enough to do

You use the rear wiper!?

I have given Maurice a small paragraph about the mod for inclusion in the next available Porsche post,My solution does not involve any wiring just replacing the original relay on the motor mount with a standard four pin relay such as the one found in the front relay board with the big number 52 on the top, part number 141 951 253B. I am not sure at this stage if it's suitable for a 996 as well but if i recall they only sweep once as standard?

Sounds super simple, Christian.

Well worth doing and should have been done part of the original spec. Even tells you in the handbook to avoid using the wiper when only marginally damp outside because you risk scratching the glass - clearly because of the 3 sweeps []

Am looking forward to reading up on it in PP.
