Six 964s go to Spa - The Movie

ORIGINAL: Melv

Nice one Steve..

..shame you had to speed up the on track stuff....[;)]

I was just one of the bit players in the video....credit for making it goes to one of the other guys, Frank, who spent most the weekend with camera in hand to put it together [:)]

Here's a real time video of me taken by Grant from his C2:

and here's one of Grant when he's not being held up by me, doing his best to keep an RS 4.0 in sight:

That's pretty good for a 'non RS' , lapping around 3min 5 secs on road legal tyres , I assume the engine and brakes might be improvements on 'out of the box' showroom spec [;)]

There's got to be a return with the faithful 'rennlisters' perhaps being joined by some more 964 owners ( PCGB ?)

I will be there next time given the best part of a year to learn to drive with s/wheel and pedals on wrong side [:D]

Grant's car is a very nicely done LHD C2 - KWV3, big brakes, Yoko AD08s and 9M engine work (Motec and cams I believe). 330 bhp on their dyno and he knows his way around Spa. He was very pleased too considering he could only get a few laps in because the split rims were leaking! [8|]

Weather is already booked for next year.....the more the merrier...and those booking early will probably get the same ÂŁ450 for two days at Spa deal that we got this time. Not to mention the free F1 box we got for having more than five of us [;)]

Here's my best effort.....20 secs slower than Grant but at least there's some engine noise in the background [:D]

The weather was so disgustingly sunny that my little spycam couldn't cope with the sun glare. [8|]

Thanks Steve, I'll look out for it although I'm always a bit suspicious of that magazine as it appears to exclude FWD Porsches [8|]

Hold on Steve, shouldn't you be in the Manchester 964 owners club? [;)]

Manchester is too common...it should be the Cheshire 964 owners if anything! [;)] They've made me an honoury member of the London mob. [:D]

Loved the movie, superb, well done, inspiration. Went to the grand prix there last year, amazing place, can't imagine what taking my 964 through Eau Rouge up through Radillon must be like

Hi Ben , there are plans to repeat this Spa trip next year with a core group of 964 diehards , TDO will be Bookatrack and timing will be March . Film crew are building a pace car up in best McQueen tradition. There will be a Chunnel team so no reason why you can't plan ahead to join in ? You can bring any 964 , even the RSR....
