Some of you may remember this event was scheduled for last year but because of the tragic events at Shoreham Airshow it had to be postponed. It has now been rescheduled for Saturday the 28th May at Durham Tees Valley Airport Darlington DL2 1LU.
The Airshow promises to be a fantastic event and will no doubt attract lots of interest. After contacting the organisers of the show, with the help of long time club member Peter Richardson, they have offered us a space at this years event. Thanks again Peter for the information.

They have kindly made available to those of our club members, who wish to include their car and support their show, free entry for car, driver and one passenger as long as you are parked on our PCGB stand. There is however a very strict criteria should you want to take them up on this offer.
Anyone showing on the day must be in by 8.00am and must be willing to stay until approx 5.00pm if you can't meet this criteria you can still meet us at PCGB stand and enjoy the show, but must park in the main car parks and purchase your own tickets.

Furthermore all vehicles and occupants must be preregistered for obvious security reasons as we will be parked air side on the day, please email me at R3@porscheclubgb.com with vehicle details, model and reg along with driver and passengers names in order for me to comprise a list for the organisers.
This must be completed and submitted by the 18th of May at the latest so please add your name to the thread if your interested in attending.

Come 5.00pm the fun won't stop there you can move onto the live music event with a host of local bands and talent to entertain us throughout the evening.(You will be required to move your car to another allocated parking area for the evening.)
More details regarding the Airshow can be found here

Even though it's now too late to register to park on our Club stand, you can still buy tickets to what promises to be a cracking experience, this years Teesside airshow.
Don't forget, all are welcome to stop by and say hello at our PCGB stand, if you're a new member or just after a bit of information, why not take the opportunity to call past and introduce yourself.

Hi Greg,

Do we need any passes or anything to get in?
I guess that there will be directions at the airport guiding us to where we need to be too?

Cheers,
Simon

Dear All,

Just a note with a little information for those of you who registered for the Skylive Airshow on Saturday the 28th, sorry no passes have been issued, it is just a case of turning up just before 8.00am on the day. They already have details of you, your car & passenger so on entry you will be issued with wrist bands. They have signs that will route you to the car show site, they will be marshalling the cars in, look out for signs for the individual clubs, some clubs only have very small numbers of cars entered, therefore clubs may be amalgamated. On entry to the site, you should pass static aircraft displays on a concrete area, the car show is after this, on grass. The clubs display will be to the RHS, this is where to look for club names on signs, Deb intends being there early, her number if needed is 07960808318 and she would appreciate help to set up the gazebo if possible when more help arrives.

Sorry about the early start, the airport want all cars in position before the general public are admitted, over 10000 tickets have been sold to date, the weather forecast is quite good, so lets all hope the event is a success.

We'll get there early and give a hand putting stuff up. Looking to get there around 7.45. Looking forward to it and its reported to be dry; however that could change twenty times :)

Cheers

Hi all here is a quick overview of how the day went. Third time on the bounce where we had glorious sunshine, its seems we're on a roll.

It was a very early start and it wasn't cold, however we had a good laugh and a natter, cake courtesy of Wendy and to top it all, there was also a cracking Lavazza coffee stall. The show itself was very good, amazing to see a Spitfire and Hurricane flying together. The Red Arrows were amazing also, such skill to fly like that; they put on a great show. Plenty of tasty cars there and some very rare old ones. The only downside to the show was the lack of respect from people touching the cars. We were on constant hot bricks all day. I must have told at least five people not to touch the car, and lost my temper with one person. When we do dedicated car shows, people seem to have respect as they are car people themselves. But when it is a show where the cars are not the main attraction, people seem to have no respect. So 10 out of 10 for the show 4 out of 10 for the people.

Here are some photos of the day below.

Mark & Wendy - shame about the "Touchers" - some people just don't get it do they - spoilt the day a bit. Suspect this show a miss next year. Pix VG.
