SLIGHT HESITATION

I've noticed recently that sometimes my Boxster hesitates through the revs, only very slightly, usually when going past 3500 rpm. Doesn't always happen only sometimes. Could it be MAF sensor? I did notice that the last service receipt had a note saying 'Coil packs corroded', could that have an affect on the performance?.

Any ideas or suggestions would be grateful.

sounds like the MAF - you can take it out and clean it with electrical contact cleaner (or replace it yourself). The coil packs tend to be a thing which either works or doesn't - and if they fail they you'll get a proper misfire and a Check Engine Light

Thanks for that advice, I'll probably replace the MAF, you can get it from Eurocar parts for about £150.
