Slight Knocking Noise from Engine

Hi All,

I finally collected my Porsche 99 C4 from the dealer in Liverpool.

Drove it back to London, so put a fair few miles and got stuck in the dreaded M25 car park....

I admit to sitting in traffic for a good 45mins, but all seems well.

Only thing I noticed was when I got home, there is a slight knocking noise from the engine which I am sure wasn't there before. No puddles of oil and the engine did not overheat in the traffic, but was fairly toasty - 85 showing on the dial.

Any ideas regarding the slight knocking? It seems in time with engine tickover....Is this a common 996 noise and I simply didn't notice it previously?
