And a great many thanks to Paul McLean whose help with establishing the provenance of this RSR has been tremendous!

Thanks Des. All going well I should have it at Spa in July. With its 3-into-1 period exhaust I'd better check the dB limit of the day.

It will be kettle and air-cooled Cup season. I will go hunting [;)] (and hopefully shifting better! Made a mess in this vid)

No books for Kemmel necessary, I assume?

Look forward to a PAX if I can get there .....[:D]

Phil, without asking too many personal questions, would you care to shed some light on your thought process in getting another one. you've clearly owned some exotic porsche, and clearly like to use them, and yet i think you are returning to this model.....

Aaahh, that's a very good question! Here is a simple algorithmic answer: Think of all of the excellent reasons why you/we would prefer driving a 964 RS/Cup over many others. Then take all of these reasons, multiply them by 110%, and you will have the 964 RSR. I had such 110% driving experience for about 150 laps of Spa with my former 964 RSR (some of them shared with people on this forum), but then I sold it in 2008 and have missed it ever since.

I went back to this model simply because it is my favourite 911.

Very interesting - intoxicating little things 911s in many forms. I'm glad you've got your hands on the perfect car. I have to say you have to a long way to beat a standard RS / Cup for engagement, i can hardly imagine what yours is like.

I'm very much looking forward to Spa! (fingers crossed you have it there in time).
