Slim - Which way for the Accuboost

Slim, you have an Accuboost controller don't you? Can you tell me which way to turn it to lower the boost?

I have been helping a friend install a 15psi Guru kit. We have shimmed his wastegate, bypassed his cycling valve, and unscrewed tha Accuboost almost all the way out but we cannot get his peak boost below 18psi [:eek:]. Luckily his standard wastegate still bleeds boost at high rpm so he is down to 13psi by the redline

He is certain you unscrew the Accuboost to lower it but I'm not so sure.

Paul, from the ProMax site;

"Adjust your boost on the side of the road in the dark in seconds. No more need for wrenches etc. during adjustment. Turn the knob clockwise for more boost and counter-clockwise for less. You can adjust the boost with your eyes closed and one hand tied behind your back. Who else can boast this feature?"

Yip as above, one thing, i found the very same thing but when i bypassed the CV it worked. I da almost unscrewed the knob right off. When i drove it with the CV bypassed i was back to 0.8bar again but before the CV i was boosting to 1.2 bar!!

Cheers

Sorry i wasnt any quicker on the draw. [;)]

If its totally unscrewed and its still overboosting can i ask if its fitted the right way round? (sorry)

Cheers guys, I'll double check he's put it on the right way round. I hope that's the problem coz if not I'm stumped and he's about to blow a head gasket sometime soon [:eek:]

Well if you don't follow the instructions properly what do you expect? [;)]

I shall be donning a blindfold if it's daylight and I need to adjust mine, just to be on the safe side [:D]

Do y'know I think you may be right.

That picture on your website does look suspiciously different to how I remember Phils to be. We were thinking of trying my Reliaboost on his car but we ran out of time [8|]

The TiAL does look very pretty but I am thinking it is going to be a real pain to get down there and Zymol it regularly [:D]
