I recently purchased a 2011 997 GTS from a good independent, due to surgery the car was delivered by low loader and kept in my garage for a few weeks. I noticed that both rear tyres, recently replaced P-Zeros, were down to c. 16PSI. Since this time I have taken the car out for one decent run to warm the tyres through and have monitored what now seems to be a loss per day of .5 PSI. The dealer has been great and states that if not a puncture (checked its not) this is covered under the warranty. To get this sorted I am going to have to take the car to a local specialist but before I do so does anyone have experience of a similar issue?

Slow loss of tyre pressure.

Easiest way to identify an air leak is the remove the wheel and immerse it a bath full of water.
The most likely reason is leakage from the tyre valve i.e. a defective or loose valve core. Remove the dust cap and put some spit over the valve opening to check for bubbles. A less common and often overlooked reason is a porous wheel rim.

Clive
