Smarttop box

Not had one on a 996, but I did have one on my old Boxster which made the roof much more useable. The one touch operation was good, but the fact that you could open it in traffic was a godsend.

I had it fitted to my car for about 12 months before selling and didn't experience any problems at all. Fitting was a doddle and removal come sale time was easy too.

I felt it was better to sell it seperately as it didn't add any value to the trade in price I was offered on the Boxster, so I replaced the original relay and stuck the SmartTop in the classifieds. Re-sale was good and got back most of what I paid for it!!
