Smelly Air Conditioning

When I leave the car parked in the sun all day, on start up the AC system smells like an old pair of socks!

Obviously there is some form of growth on the heat exchanger coil due to the condensation formed on it, but does anyone know of a simple method of removing it?

Is there some kind of gaseous product that you can let off in the car to kill off the bacteria/mould etc, that anyone has heard of?

OK, answered my own question, just picked up a tin of Wynn's Airco fresh for £4.99 from local autostore.

Apparently you just spray it into your AC system in ECO mode and RECIRC and it kills the smells?

Another tip - switch off the AC and leave the fans running for the last few miles before you get home.

That way the condensation has time to drain fully before you park up for the night.

Chris.
