Looking to buy a 911 soon

Having looked at them for a while it seems the 996 fried egg shape is only one in my price range

But unsure if im looking for something thats not out there

Below is spec im after, i can easily find cars which tick some of the boxes but not enough of the important bits

11,500 to spend
Carrera 2/4

MUST HAVE
Dark grey(not normal silver) OR Black bodywork
Black inteior plastics and black leather

IDEALLY
Manuel
Hard top shell (no convertibles)
Ideally Deep dish/twists/flat twists
Gt3 aero Kit
Latter wide body version

Not bothered about mileage/any previous accidents / Cat C/D as long as its sorted now as i know im looking at lower end of cheap 911's

just doesnt seem to be any grey with black leather/plastics at that price range, is this not available or do i need to be wait for right car

Grey and black is quite uncommon for early 996s, but not unknown.

Any of these 3 of inerest? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds?Category=used-cars&ColourFF=BLA&ColourFF=GRY&M=519&MaxPrice=12000

I think you just need to wait, or you'll have to compromise on colour.

Yeh

No other half wont have anything other than at colour and we both agree that inside must be black all round

Missed a important part,

No cabrios and Pref a manuel

Shame as at grey cabrio is 9/10 perfect other than lack of roof, even wheels are what id want,

Why no cabrios out of interest? Did you know that in the main, cabrios came with a hard top, and in anycase I'm pretty sure that even version one 996 cabs have glass rear windows. I have a 2004 Turbo cab, stiff as dried leather but it doesn't rattle. I would be really interested in the reason for your aversion to cabs.

Just dont like shape of them, even with hard top they just dont look as nice as standard shell in my eyes

Added to fact i stay in far north of scotland and you'd be lucky to get a day when you could remove roof

Sounds like you might be searching for the proverbial rocking horse doo-doo. I think you'll need to compromise in some way, unfortunately, and be willing to travel - that's for sure.

Yeh willing to travel anywhere in uk for right car, if it was just black or grey and had black interior id be happy with anything else,

Fair enough not everyone drools over the shape and I respect anyone who knows what they want and doesn't want to compromise their preferrences. Good luck finding what you want and please post on here when you have more news. Have to say a cab would be pretty useless in the north of Scotland. The car you wnt is out there you just have to resign yourself to continually trawling all the media for whats on offer. In the mean time your budget might increase if you don't find what you want straight away just keep adding to the pot until you do.
