So the South had at least a couple of inches of snow yesterday and it brought absolute traffic chaos (in Brackenell at least). I drive my C4 daily to work and yesterday was no different - my choice of 4x4 had always been on the basis that it would be better in bad weather, rather than to go on track days - what a sensible decision that was. Anyway, to cut a long story short, and after getting about quarter of a mile of my 3 mile journey in 2 hours, the queue was going no further; front wheel drive hatchbacks were only managing to go from side to side wheels spinning wildly on the gentlest of slopes and rear drivers, well most had abandoned their vehicles to walk........So smuggins here pulled out of the queue, drove down the middle of the (wide) road on the fresh snow, no fuss, no drama, no wheel spin, and out into the countryside. What a fantastic drive! No-one else about and feeling like a competitor on the Swedish rally (at 20mph!). Wow that felt good.[]
