Went to Snett today with my brother and Dad,lovely weather for it,took my Red turbo, first time out in its present state of tune, got noise tested at 103db static[&:],it was a 105db day so i was ok.Really high standard of cars/driving, got passed lots! I was on standard rock hard road tyres and standard pads, think i annoyed the hell out of an elise that wanted to get me in the bends but i blasted away on the straight(let him by in the end!),a Ferrai 360 was a bit suprised coming out of the chicane onto the pit straight!Lots of fun,Car behaved though, just added fuel and a couple of gulps of oil, next time sticky tyres[:D]

I'm seriously green with envy! [:'(]
What great weather for a trackday (much better than being stuck in work all day[]). Sounds like you had a lot of fun!

Best regards,
Peter
p.s. Please don't forget to PM me your address so I can pay you for that place at Bedford

I am pleased you had a great day at at the track to-day, one day i will be the one behind you wanting you to pass, but the only track my car sees at the moment is the 944s grand prix that is held in my garage every night SSSSSSHHHHHH i tell her she is in the lead thats why theres no cars in front.... i think iam getting away with it.............I think i am comming down with night fever. not the white suit styley but boiler suit styley....you should see my moves......shocking!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one Mark, sounds like you had a good day.

Did you have any traction excitement with road tyres and over 400bhp under your right foot? [;)] Get those MPSC's fitted - pronto!

Yup!Big bend before chicane before the main straight-nearly went off[&:]Then the bend after the pit straight had a couple of hairy moments when i tried to go through a bit quicker, then the bend after where you can go off onto concrete really like that bit[:D]The car is settup well enough for me but 4 year old Pirelli Assimetricos weren't ideal and they already have chunks missing out of the rears.Since the conversion only had one pipe blow off,but this has been remedied with some mean looking clips that Roger and Andy sourced ,since then no problems.Lots of fun though and a couple of cars got a shock with the straight line speed just need to carry more in the bends!looking forward to making a 944 day that would lots more fun.

Bit of a contradiction there Mark.

I'm glad you had a good day but remember if someone catches up with you they are lapping faster than you are, no matter how quick you are down the straights and, since we're not allowed to pass in the corners, it's common courtesy to back off and let them passed. Hopefully next time we meet you'll have your car sorted and will be quick in the corners too, or maybe I'll be in my GT3 and just pass you on the straight [;)]

Thanks for the lesson!,i will bring myGT3 RS to brands hatch then[;)]!It was a couple of bends only i held you up?You tried to pass me on one occasion and a car was spun off in front of you that wasn't my fault!I was just trying to have fun as well,I had fun, hope you did too [:)]

OK Mark, no probs. I suppose that did sound a bit patronising. I've only just worked out who you are (I suppose your reg should have given it away!). I know your dad and brother quite well but I don't think we've ever met? If I had worked that out before I posted I would probably have interpreted your post differently.

I'll come and say hello at Brands, whatever car you turn up in.

And yes, I did have fun - lots of it!
