Snobbed by a Boxster?!

I was driving in the Epping Forest area last week after work and was stuck in the usual peak hours traffic []. Before the queue saga, I actually smoked out an early year Boxster in some rather empty twisty B roads [;)]- I think its the driver not the car that couldn't catch up with me.

Anyway, he finally caught up with me (because of the traffic [8D]) and I can see from the rear mirror of his snubbish face showed to me and my S2 cab (in arctic white) which I felt was rather funny [8|]. What even more to irritate him is that a couple of school kids (10ish) walked by and immediately stopped next to my S2 cab and started all those loverly comments like "its cool", "what model is it?" etc. They finally left after about admiring it for 1 minute or so but didn't even stopped at the Boxster right after mine [:D].

Boxters are much more common than 944's these days so the kids probably knew what it was and I find that only 944 or 924 drivers acknowledge me on the road. I must have that "I've owned mine for 10 1/2 years look on my face " [;)]

True Story from a couple of weeks ago:

Two young brothers walking past my house the other evening, the younger one points to my 944 and shouts to older bro "Look Mikey its a Fellarli!", older bro (mikey) gives younger bro such a slap I wince, as Mikey shouts "You twat, it`s not called Fellarli, it`s a Ferrari!"

Must admit that on more than one occasion I have been asked what model of Ferrari my car is.
As if I would ever want a Red Fiat.[8D]

Worse, a friend of my mum's (very old [&:]) complimented me on the condition of my Rover??

Don't know what model she was thinking of......

Oh dear. To have a 944 confused with a ferrari (or even a Fellarli) is one thing, but confused with a Rover ... No!

Heigh ho, I'll be old one day as well, I guess!

I got fed up with people thinging it was a "Fellarli" so I wrote along each side[:D]

Some people still ask[]
