Snow Chains

Does anyone have experience with chains for the 997 on winter tyres? The rears are 295/30-19 and I'm planning a trip to Austria for some skiing...I think they mandate carrying of snow chains, the only ones available seem ludicrously expensive...

Unfortunately you will need the pricy ones! I use this make on my Mondeo estate ski barge:

I use Sotto Zero's on my GT3 (winter use not skiing) but as you point out most ski resorts mandatory require snow chains.
 
have the expensive snow chains for mine-but have never needed to use them with the sotto zeros on.
still in their polythene wrapping(just to show polizei if they ask!)
