Snow Socks Covers for C4

Hi All,

I have been looking at getting front and rear snowsocks for a 996 C4 for trip to the Alps and found snowsocks are not supplied in 265/35/18 rear tyre sizes. Fronts are supplied ok.

I believe multigrip snow covers will fit and wondering if anyone has experience of using multigrip/snowsocks or chains on their 911 in snow and ice conditions?

Hi,

I thought that they only need to be fitted to two of the drive wheels so front or back in the case of a C4.

Although it does make sense that 4 would be even better.

Are you going soon - cos there's not much snow about! No sign of snow on or around roads up to La Plagne, I heard from a friend who arrived there yesterday afternoon...
 
Certain roads in Europe will require snow chains , the snow socks are not considered acceptable. The only slip on unit that is acceptable in ski resorts etc is the michelin ultragrip composite snow chain, but I dont beleive these are available in 911 rear wheel sizes.
