So-called approved repairers?

997 Turbo- Best car in the world - FACT
Anyone else been subjected to the trauma of a body work & mechanical repair by Elite repairers in Northampton?
They are supposed to be Porsche approved!! Avoid big time!
They managed to turn a simple front impact repair into a nightmare.
They quoted 4 weeks then took 14 weeks. When the vehicle came back to me it had to go back again to be put right!
Returned to me with mechanical faults, dangerous tyres & a well dodgy paint job!
No communication, no customer courtesy, no continuity, NO IDEA!!
Porsche GB appear to not care, sympathetic words - Havn't done a thing!!
Interested to hear from people with similar experiences - I'm sure there will be many!

Steve.

If they are a Porsche Approved repairer I'm sure there must be a specific compalint procedure that both Porsche GB and the garage should have agreed. I always find a solicitors letter speeds thing up and gets your complaint up a level at Porsche too!

Well done on posting your bad experience. It warns other potential clients in advance, so they avoid bad service or the supplier takes notice and makes some positive changes.

Hi mate,
Thx for the comments! If Porsche GB don't do anything & accept responsibility I will issue an action against Elite & Porsche GB.
I have someone very senior at Porsche on the hook & Silverstone are "suggesting" that they will no longer use Elite.
I'm not convinced.
Cheers mate

Hi mate,
My insurer NFU are monitoring the invoice from Elite - Mysteriously this has not been forwarded for payment yet?
They are puzzled as normally there invoice would be on the fax as soon as you collect the vehicle.
£ 26 k for panel repairs - do me a favour! It gets better £ 52k for prestige vehicle hire!
The third party insurer, Elephant have been advised that the repair invoice is ludicrous & the hire car charges should for the most part be met by Elite!
Thx for your comments,
Steve B

Hi mate, given that the repair was to take 3 weeks they managed to get me another 997 turbo.
The thing had been badly treated & subsequently broke down. They got me an Aston DB9 - Crap!
Then they got me into an XKR, nice but not good enuff!
Finally the Turbo came back & broke down again.
In an attempt to calm me down they got me into an 07 plate Bentley Continental Cab- GTC
Never imagined that Elite would take so long mate.....
