To The Alps?

Ok, so I'm toying with the idea of a Euro-trip for around 10 days over the summer, mainly based in the Alps.

Who has been, what do you recommend, and most importantly can I see some 964 pictures please?[:D]

(At present I've just about looked at a map, but if anyone can recommend a good book for me to swat that would be great)

No one?

Well it seems Monaco, Turin and Geneva are on the list with a stop off somewhere in France.

Il post photos and maybe some video footage

yes ive been but i few years ago get yourself down the auto route to valance and then work your way into the alps on route napolan to gap or sisteron the roads are fantastic as well as the senery then make your way to manaco/monte carlo stay over before a trip into italy for aday less than an hour away just to go through the tunnels with the window down sounds awsome regards ray

Thanks for that :)

Funny you should say Valence as I've been looking at maps quite heavily these last few days and I was shooting for Lyon then over to Monaco!

I'll research more into the route into Gap and through to Monaco [:D]

Cheers

Chris

Berchtesgarten, Hitlers mountain retreat (the Eagles Nest), Schloss Neuschwanstein are both near Fussen.

All are interesting places to visit - is a great part of the world at any time of the year.

you have to do the top gear rds when they were testing the lambo, porsche and aston, did them last year and a few of the other passes in austria, stelvio is a must[8D]

Hi Chris

I live in France, one hour east of Toulouse, about 90 mins south west of Millau bridge.

My 993 has to go back to the UK late August/early Sept for MOT. I am then planning a road trip down through the Alps and ending up in Italy for the Monza GP. I have considered booking on an organised tour, but would be interested in hooking up with a few Porsche owners to do the trip.

If you are intested, then let me know. I might float the idea on several Porsche forums to see if there any takers.

regards

Bob

I remember watching that programme so vividly, it was the first of a season and I lusted after a fast car and those roads... so now that I own one its a must for this summer[;)]

bobt that would have been a nice idea, though my trip is organised for mid June.

I'm going with a friend who owns a Focus ST who's convinced his cars faster than mine[8|][X(] (having not seen it yet), but if anyone fancies an alpine rendezvous all are welcome[:D]
