Best of luck to your lad - Preston is probably a pretty good place to be a student. It is also great for getting to other places from - 45 minutes from Liverpool, Manchester and the Lake District, an hour from Oulton Park or the Evo Triangle by Porsche, 2 hours from London Euston by Virgin Pendolino!

Am afraid I'm tied up with a major inquest at the Coroners Court until the end of next week and am drowning with work. No regional PCGB events on that I'm aware of.

If you want to send him off with a beer, the smartest bar (with food too) is called Stratos, it's on Avenham Street where there is a large, safe car park (City Centre).

D'oh - just realised the Southport air show is on - the
Red Arrows have left a big vapour trail heart in the sky - further checks confirm that day 2
has been cancelled tomorrow due to adverse weather warnings!

Birley Arms seems like a smart move.

Thanks Rob. They've been doing the occasional blast over Blackpool. Just watched them
loop with smoke. In fact they did a fly-past over the campsite at 10.00 this morning....

Just ordered fish n chips at St. Anne's pier cafe. Glorious day out there.... Can't believe the forecast!!!
