Soft Blue Paint

I used to have a 993S, honest, so I thought I would ask for help here as well as with the Boxster forum.

I have a 987 S in Midnight Blue. The front PU is peppered with insect marks which appear indelibly etched into the lacquer. I have tried everything to remove them. Is this a fault in the paint ? Apart from having the front PU re-sprayed every five minutes does anyone have any ideas ? Love the colour but wish I had bought Artic Silver.

Probably of not much help but......friend has a Boxster and a 993 C4 - had the fronts re-sprayed, both suffered this problem, paint shop (official Porsche bodyshop) admitted fault and did the work again.

I've had it from new but you can see every fly grave on the front PU, Can't be right surely ? Maybe I should moan at my OPC ? It's only done 4500 miles.
 
Try moaning at your OPC. But I fear they'll be quite uninterested or will say that you haven't cared for the car well enough. What you report doesn't sound right for a new car...
 
Have you tried the Swissol Paint Rubber or other clay bar as this worked a treat on my Midnight Blue Boxster and removed all the insect remains after a long and hot journey to the south of France and back?
