The liner of my soft top is sagging on a car I recently bought, althought the car is top condition by a previous deseased owner, who respored it , the back window was glazed & frosty ,I took it in for a new window fitting & the soft top repair centre told me the strip that attached to the roof bar , that holds the liner in place is missing, Can anyone advise where I can get this is part, or a breakers possibly. I don't know what it even looks like , so some advise would be good,

much appreciated . Gav

Hi - Sorry, don't know much about the soft top, but you could try this...

Go to the following link and look up the parts diagrams for your car. The folding roof is in section 8 of the catalogue.

http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/porscheservice/originalparts/originalpartscatalogue/

Find the pages that show all the roof bits and print them out, then take them to your repair shop and ask them to identify the bit that's missing - that should get you a part number to look for. Then start with your local Porsche Centre - sometimes they are ridiculously expensive - sometimes amazingly cheap, but always worth trying so you know whether a secondhand bit is good value or not.

For secondhand bits, try Porscheapart or Douglas Valley Breakers.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but as no-one had answered I thought this might give you a way forward!

Good luck!
