soft top

Hi

bought 1 year old c4s cab and softop marked, creased and several worn areas

porsche warranty say this is to be expected on 1 year old car

porsche dealers say if softop kept down and hardtop on for a while the softops crease and get worn therefore no warranty claim possible

has anybody had similar problems and how did you get round this

I think the end result was after a good valet, the marks came out and the hood looked like new again.

If you can't keep the softtop down for extended periods then why do they offer a hard-top ?. What a complete load of crock [].

Have a look around for advice on cleaning the soft top - it might all come again. If it is wear, and after only a year then i think Customer Assistance need to get involved, the roof is obviously NOT of merchantable quality.
