I am a very new comer to the world of Porsche having just bought a cabriolet 996 a week ago.
I am having a bit of a problem with the roof.
When I press the button on the dash the light comes on, on the dash, but the roof doesn't move.
However if I press the key fob it starts to release then stops. It appears that the hood is sticking to the windscreen, if I give it a gentle thump to release it the roof folds down fine.
Is there a point that I should oil the locking mechanism where is secures to the top of the windscreen? I suspect I have 2 problems, one the sticking roof and one the dash switch.
Any advice to a newbie gratefully received.
