Well, it's a sad day but, after having done 27,000 miles in 15 months, I've had to bite the bullet and sell the S2 - it was nothing major, just the odd thing wearing out etc. and the car has had to be taken off the road a couple of times to fix things when I could have done with it for work.

Anyway, on a more positive note, the new owner is going to use the car as his second/track day car so a better life is now in store, and he's even going to sort out the paintwork I never had time to do [:D] I would have liked to keep it for the same thing but as I already have 2 "fun" cars I couldn't justify it.

So, here is the last photo of the car, which I took after I got it ready for him to pick it up on Saturday. It's been emotional [8D]

Yeah, I find that after getting a car prepared for sale I start asking myself why I am selling it. The S2 does look nice though, I remember you buying it. You will be buying another, won't you.......

I'm not sure to be honest David, I'll just have to see how it goes.

I must admit that I did look into getting another with less miles, or possible a 968, but I need something a lot newer for work with the amount of miles I'm doing.

That's exactly how I felt about my cab, but to be honest unless you throw loads more money than the S2 is worth and get something new new it will still break down. Even new will break down in my experience, just then you pay to fix it (regardless) through depreciation rather than directly. If you have to chuck a bunch of £ at another car then my take is it's better to just run an old one and bite the bullet with a hire car for a few days if the worst happens.

All that said I have come very close to buying a Clio 172 Cup or 182, or even V6. Not as close as I was to buying Allan's RS2 though.

I was thinking the other day that you had been keeping your head low!

Ah! well. Decisions? decisions?

Hope you still look in.
Cheers
