I'm sad to say that my Cayman S has now been sold. [:(]
It's been a fab car and it will be sadly missed, never missed a beat in the 5yrs that i've owned it..
However it's time to move on, and looking for a 997 turbo to replace it. [:)] Then looking forward to joining the 997 register for some fun days out. [:D]

Rich You are going down the path that I have been mulling over (Cayman S to 997 turbo). I attended Reading OPC yesterday for an inspection/tour organised by R20. Talking to the mechanic when my car was in the air (nothing serious detected) we talked about my plans to make that same change. He said its (997T) a fantastic car, and one (a 911 turbo) that I have dreamed of owing for many many years, but very costly to maintain. Apparently a major service is £2k, owing to the fact that they have to take the engine apart to get at the spark pugs to replace them. We discussed alternatives and he considered the best value for money (I know running a 997 turbo was never going to be an exercise in prudent financial management!) is currently a 997 C2S PDK, servicing costs are modest, depreciation hits now being taken due to the 991 launch. All in all, I think I may change my Cayman S Tip for a PDK version of the same in a year or two. Enjoy your new toy when you get it, hope I've not put you off! David

Very true, but I think the extra against a NA car is about £600- they remove the bumper and Turbos to get to the plugs.. And its only at 4 year intervals....[;)] Day to day owning a Turbo on A roads I think you'd just laugh at the £600- worth every penny [:D] But I guess I'd say that [;)] A PDK equiped car is worth a least one Turbo charger in gain! Depends if its the rush or the progress you're after...[:)] garyw

David, thanks for the heads up No way have I been put off. Thinking about this for a long time, just finding it difficult to find the right one. If in doubt I just go on You Tube and watch when Jason Plato test drove one. Makes me smile when he says " What will you be doing in 9 seconds ? I'll be doing over 100 mph." [:D]

Rich I see your point. Now, let me see, £2k, once every 4 years, divide that by,.............. Interesting,..........
