Yet another cheap 944 S2 pops up ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270650521521&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

This is a solid bodied Gold in colour ! Not seen many Gold ones . Looks like a nice car with the right mileage for year , so I was tempted and I MSG the seller . Here goes his reply :

Hello , the colour is original , you do sometimes see this colour but not very often, the story about the car is - a few months ago i bought it from the son of a man who had died 2 years ago , the son drove it to his house and crashed it under a tree , the father was called Cecil , an old log book has the previous owner to that and he was also called Cecil , these are not baseball cap wearing chaps who are going to thrash the car , it has never done a hards day work , when it went in for MOT i asked them to give it the once over , they said the engine had been well looked after and serviced , i do not have any paper work as proof though , i was straight back in touch , they went through what they still had left , but must of thrown everything , someone must have serviced it but dont know how to find out , it starts and drives fine , i dont know if you have ever drove one , i will be honest , i think they are a pig to drive , you thought i was going to talk it up , you are never going to fall asleep at the wheel , i am on the heavy side and getting in and out is a struggle , anyway if you was to buy and flog the plate on your looking at 1650 which is nowt for an S2 , cheers for now .

I did queried the part about crashed it under the tree ! Again no history ! Shame but I am still tempted as the price of Gold is on the rise ! [:D]

Nice Colour[:-]

This colour could well hide a lot of what the Jordan (Country that is) racing colours are[;)] )

Don't know about Jordan , though I know where you are coming from ! But Lotus went for Gold in the 70s !

I have had an update from the owner of the Gold S2 here goes it gets better !!!

: When he parked it under the tree it damaged the front nearside light cover , i am not mechanically minded , i can only go what the chap at the MOT station said , he's had a nosey under a cover , the exterior belts are clean and have still got the writing on , the oil is clean , so i think well looked after , but no proof , it is good solid rolling winter project if you was to carry out this maintenance , cheers for now

Gold is the new Silver !!!
