hi guys,

Can anyone help me with some advice on where to take the wires from, to get my AEM wideband gauge up and riunning.

im thinking all I need is to power it up and get the illumination on for night time , but that may be possible with just power supply?

I womy be needing to hook up any of the linked communication wires yet as I don’t have another AEM gauge yet and also won’t need the data logging one yet as I am still running standard type ECU not piggy back. I’m thinking an in-line low amp fuse will be a good idea.

just need help knowing which wire to tap into and where ms the best place from? To get it up and running.

thanks all

Daniel ??

I took a power feed from the cigarette lighter. Much, much later I wondered why my Sat Nav battery went flat.

I’m wondering if taking it from the clock would be a good idea?

Blade do you remember how many wires yours took to power it up and running?

Hi Dan

I just asked my son of he could tell me how he connected mine, mines wired directly into the ECU as he wanted a partial closed loop, think it works on idle and partial throttle only. He said all you really need is an ignition connection and earth, I got the impression it's pretty straight forward, I'd have expected there to be a wiring diagram in your kit? If not perhaps try google for your make kit.

[:(] So you don't know the AFR when you're on boost/flat out?

Cheers pete,

yes im gonna hopefully have a bit of time Sunday to look into it, i was just wondering If anyone who had done it knew where they took the power from so I had a better clue, just incase I take it from the wrong place.

cheers blade ,

im thinking the clock might still be a good idea? I’ll look into it on weekend better when I’ve got a little bit of time to investigate.

Hi Dan
I have my boost and AFR gauges in a carbon fibre plate below the stereo. I also have an AEM wideband. I piggy backed the power for both units from the stereo permanent live. It's worked faultlessly for years.
