Hasan, 187 is great catch. Congrats. If this is your first PAM, watch out. The madness starts almost immediately after your first purchase lol.
Not an active member over on TZ but I post from time to time over at the Paneristi forums. I'm up to 14 Panerais right now with another 2 headed this way in the coming months.
One of these is a ceramic version of the stainless steel 10 day auto Pam 270 which is my daily ticker (mine pictured below).
Here's the new Ceramic Pam 335
Nice, but I'm not sure I like the way some bloke levered the glass off and painted the 'A' on with Tipex. []ORIGINAL: Senna
Being a watch collector (hobby not a profession, mainly collect Panerai and IWC) got myself a new toy too.
Zuffenhausen meets Schaffhausen.
Like the 997 - and excellent choice on having the Sport Chrono with PDK!

I seldom used manual with the old wheel (probably 95% auto/D mode and 5% manual). I'm now around 70% manual and 30% auto mode. In fact I only use auto mode in built up areas/in traffic etc.
Here's what I find strange. I think we all agree that the standard (non-sport) auto mode is the most economical way to run the car in terms of fuel consumption (not that I'm looking to save pennies on fuel as I only average 6-7k per year so doesn't matter). In other words the car changes up a gear at the earliest opportunity keeping revs low and saving fuel etc.
The weird thing is, driving the car mostly in manual, fuel consumption hasn't changed much at all. Even for normal everyday driving (ie not driving the car like a lunatic) my gear changes are always a little higher up the rev scale than the auto system (changing up at around 2-3k revs rather than 1.5-2k revs of the auto system)and yet I'm still getting almost identical fuel mileage (almost 27mpg in town).
