Hi guys,

I know i have not been on here for a while, i have been so busy with work and lots of other things i havent had a chance to get on here. Basically guys, im doing something different with my life starting from very soon, and unfortunatly i will not have the time to work on the 944 i got as a project. Bascillay what im saying is she needs to go, and im asking you guys, what the best way to do it is. Would it be better to sell it as a whole car, as a project, or as parts? basically i want the way which will cover the money i paid for it. If enough of you guys wanted parts, i would be happy to do that, but if someone wanted the whole car then i would be more than happy to sell it as a whole, i really have had no time to work on it, its just sitting in my garage, its still not running, the new part has arrived for it (DME relay) i just have not had a chance to go down and fit it. This could mean it will start again, it might still need something else, it has had new plugs, and a new battery. There is some rust on the back of the car below the boot. I have a lot of the original paper work with it including the original letter from porsche to the owner. Its the 1983 model so one of the early ones. the interior is not the best but apart from that bit of rust on the back, and the interior being a bit tatty she ent all that bad. I REALLY just dont want it to be one of those cars that gets left to die a horrible death in my garage while im off doing other things. If anyone is interested in it send me a message, via email to robgoodfield@hotmail.com and ill send some pics through to you. If i get back the money which i paid for it, i will be happy to see it go. If there is no interest on here i will put it on ebay and just leave it to run. I really hope one of you guys/ ladies buy it as i will know its going to a good home.

Thanks

Rob

Hard to know what to suggest really, though if she is still a non-runner then I can't see how you will be able to get back what you paid for her when (presumably) she did run. First thing I would do be to fit the DME and see if that cures the problem. If it does you will then have a much better chance of selling her and recovering your initial outlay.

Hi,

No i bought it as a non runner, so i got it cheap enough. Looks like ill jus stick it on ebay. Not had any interest on here, so ill leave it till saturday morning then prob stick it on ebay.

944's are simple beasts. If there's nothing serious wrong you should be able to get her at least starting. I think it'd be worth getting that far for the difference in value otherwise its seen to be sold as scrap really (even if it shouldn't be!) you could probably get over £1k if it was running with no mot. Got to be worth it.
