Brands Hatch Saturday 11th August - Porsche Racing, all Porsche and nothing but Porsche

https://tickets.motorsportvision.co.uk/events/timetables/TT%20Brands%2011_12%20Aug%20as%20at%2019th%20July.pdf

Dedicated Porsche parking has been arranged in the circuit on the right just beyond Clearways looking across into the pits. Drive up to the main gates they should know all about it.

It should be very entertaining racing at one of the best spectators circuits in the country.

If nothing else it will be great for tyre kicking and having a chat.

[&o] I lied......there is Britcar racing on Saturday as well [:D]

It has been suggested that, if possible, we should get there for 10:00. That would make you just in time to see the Porsche Open qualifying. If you got there for 9:00 you could also see qualifying for the Porsche Club Championship and 924 Championship.

The Porsche Open is a 1 Hour race, and the Britcar a 2 Hour race, so plenty of time to see the cars in action.

If the weather is good it will be toasty and if it isn't the racing will be even more "exciting".

As this is a Club event crowds shouldn't be an issue so viewing should be great. Generally the grandstands are free for these events.

Derek Bell will be there in the 944 Cup Car ....

Friday Open Practice at 10:30 12:30 15:15 17:15
Saturday Open Qualifying 09:55 Race 13:45 (1 hour)

Can I suggest an additional date for watching some racing??

7-9 September @ Silverstone....

There are some Porsche races and some of us are racing in the Britcar 24hour race in 968's.
Look out for the "County EMC Motorsport" cars No. 70 and 71 being run by Kevin Eacock and Ian Goram.

There will be some big names in some big cars doing some big speeds!! and I'll be doing my best to get in their way!

Any suggested meet up points for tomorrow ? Attendees list ... Radios on ch 500 ...

1. Secondlife Sims
2. Rick

Another meet I am going to miss - and it currently looks like I will be in the falklands during Ragley [:(][:(]

Be alright if this was the landrover club probably get a couple of thousand attendees - Porches, there was a rumour of one or two, poss a 911 and a 924

2008 National event in the Falkland Islands....[;)]

I'm only going if there is an onsite capsite :ROFLMAO:

Isn't Ragley on the same weekend as the Britcar 24HR at Silverstone - there's a dilemna, and to think we nearly had an entry [:)]

'Fraid I can't make the Brands meet this time round [] as am double booked.

Is this round two of the Silverstone weekend? Has it taken you that long to recover? [:D]

Now there's a thought.
2008 National event in the Falkland Islands....[;)]

I can see how that might be a little more popular than the 2007 event [&:].

Shall we start a sweep on the magnitude of the loss now or wait untill closer to the event?

Is this round two of the Silverstone weekend? Has it taken you that long to recover?

Nope - nothing so energetic this time [;)] Pity, could have shown off my machines shiny new front splitter that I have finally got round to procuring. Still will be looking to come along to the R11 meet as usual.

Where is everybody meeting up? Would love to finally meet a few of you guys.
Unfortunately the Turbo will not be up together as dry sumping is going to aggrevate the wait!!!
