Something funny with electrics??

Last night I noticed that when I changed from dipped to main beam headlights, the CD player cut out for about 3-4 seconds then came back again. I have never noticed this before.Has anyone else ever experienced this?
You could write my total knowledge of electrics on a AAA battery so any observations would be welcomed.

ps a photography student friend of my daughter has taken a nice photo of my car, which i hope to post soon....
 
Chris,
you really need to go thru all of the basics first. Check all connectors are properly seated and not affected by water. Then check the relays are fixed in postion also, check the fuses. Then look at earths, spray some WD40 on these and check for tightness. Also, make sure your wiring under the stereo is not bunched, it is tight in there. Try this and see how you get on. Is everything working ok since the incident!
