Something missing from the tool kit..

Looking at the tool kit supplied with the 991.2, it's obvious there's something missing. The cut-outs to hold a spanner are there, but the tool itself is missing. With earlier models, you used this tool to remove the headlight units. It comprised a long 8mm hex-head box spanner with which, from the luggage compartment, you rotated a cam that would pop the headlight out.

This system has now been dropped, as it's no longer necessary to remove the headlamps to change from left hand to right hand dip. The assemblies are now secured using studs and 10mm nuts (2 each side) and loosening these allows the units to be slid out from the front. The payoff is that the front bumper must now be completely removed in order to gain access and provide clearance for this procedure. So quite a bit bigger job.

2 apertures provide access to the 10mm securing nuts and the unit can then be slid forward.
Bumper removal is slightly more complicated too, with revised wheel arch liners and undertrays - and particularly so if you have active aero since there are air hoses to be disconnected too!
