Sometimes you gotta ignore the weather and get the 911 out

Yorkshire in winter is stunning. Had a bit of time to kill the other day so trotted off into the Dales in the 911, ending up on Buttertubs Pass. Fabulously clear weather, although the combination of mud and salt I had to jet wash off on my return was a bit disturbing. Still, seems a shame to leave it sitting still all winter in the garage

I went up to the Dales last February and we drove over Buttertubs and all the way up to the Tan Hill Inn in the snow.
Car looked bad when we got back, but not as dirty as yours.

A good rinse all over to get rid of that salt on the underside and she'll be as good as new [8D]

Couldn't agree more! That's a great photo against a stunning backdrop.
Got to be out at every opportunity - Lower Deeside in Aberdeenshire earlier this week.
Can't match the dirt levels you accumulated but still great to be out on the road.

Had it jacked up at an extreme angle to clean right underneath

Took a lot of TFR on the underside and a very thick layer of snow foam on the upper to shift. Interestingly a lot of the cack had ‘baked’ onto bits that get hot! Reminded me of a particularly tasty clay-baked beetroot I once had at The Ledbury. Did not have the same desire to eat this bake, mind.

The B6160, when there are few cars or cyclists on it (not grumbling – me being a cyclist too), is absolutely fabulous fun to drive a little spirited too. The stretch between Kilnsey crag and Kettlewell was very picturesque under a thick layer of snow.
