Sony stereo removal key

Hi folks, I need to remove the original Sony CD player but haven't got any of the removal keys. It's the Sony CDX C560. Would anyone know which keys I need?

Many thanks,

David.

>>original<< !

It might seem original because it behaves like it was made in the 1920s!

The original was a Becker and the sooner you get your car the radio it deserves the better. Mine got changed to a Sony at some time before I bought it and I hated it - so non-german.

Anyway, to answer your question, I had same problem and the solution was just to drop into a car audio fitter and ask them nicely to click-in their set of standard sony release keys.

Aha, interesting! Because it still had the original speakers I thought that the cd player was original as well, so it was a dealer supplied option I guess? Probably explains why I've no operating instructions, radio code or removal keys.

As for removal, I was going to order some new kit over t'internet but now I'll take the car to them and get them to remove the sony for me.

Out of curiosity what did you upgrade to? At the moment I'm considering following Maurice with his Rainbows and one of the Alpine 'full speed' iPod head units.

Thanks,

David

All sorted, free of charge, by a very nice man in Apsley nr Hemel Hempstead. The keys fit into two tiny horizontal slots at the top left and right of the unit. The keys for reference are about 2 inches long and have a sort of 'empire state building' shape with a triangular base and a rectangular hole in the handle. All I need to do now is fit the new system......
