Hi Everyone, it has been mentioned that this year 2010 a good number of Loyal London Members and Friends want to do the above event. This is likely to be Mid April, not yet announced, but please keep an eye on the this Porsche Club Francorchamps web site;

http://www.porscheclubfrancorchamps.be/

You first complete the booking online (then send the money nearer the time by Bank Transfer) and specify which group you wish to drive in, Fun, Sport and Race. All I will say is Fun fills up very quick ...... you can book the hospitality package only if you are not driving for one - three Days. Hospitality is included for the days you are driving. If you want neither access for the whole event is free ......

Also there is a chance to Drive the Circuit in Convoy on the last day in the Parade Laps, even if you do not enter the Track Day element.

I think the dates will be 16/17/18 April 2010 .... they still have the 2009 events posted unless anyone knows anything else? So travelling 15th return 19th Looks like the days you need off from Work and the Doris! Really need to start listing names below, so as get a feel for numbers. I normally take the Norfolk Line Dover Dunkirk mid morning on the Thursday and return Monday early afternoon, the drive is a good 3 hours with a lunch stop. After registration at the Circuit we normally have a sundowner in Jacques Bar ..... then ....... depending on your requirements *****Hotel - B&B. This needs to be sorted soon. An idea of budget would be for a Full three Day on track (best value with F1 Hospitality included) would be estimated at Euro 1000 Full 3 Track Days 9X1 hour seesions £60 Ferry £200 B&B Fuel/Oil/Brakes/Tyres .... depends what and how you drive? If you are not driving on track allow 50Euro a day for Hospitality or you can eat elsewhere on the Circuit. Entry to all supporters is free! There might be group discounts available for the Ferry only ... also if someone sends the whole amount to PCF for the Track Days in one transfer you will save a lot of bank fees.[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]The above dates are provisional[FONT=verdana,geneva"]

Please note check Insurance Cover if you require it for Track Participation ... more and more companies are now excluding this cover or makng it an extra cost and or with a big excess..... as last year this event IS AN OFFICIALLY Recognised CLUB Event, THERE WILL BE AN OFFICIAL ANNOUCEMENT IN FEB PP List Des Ferry Booked OUT 08.00am 15th April Norfolkline Dover Dunkirk RETURN 14.01 Monday 19th John Cherrington Larry Annan Chris Mouzouris Rodney Naghar Wendy Atlee Ferry Booked Stuart Atlee Ferry Booked Dino Smilas Paul Casha ...

Hmm - damn ! Just check my diary - and I cant do this as we are committed to my Mercedes club Monte Carlo Rally the following week ! Sorry folks ! Next year for me ...

Agree with all Des says. But I would budget closer to £400 for the 3 days as a reasonable cost if you just plan to go and watch. I spent around that going with Des last year (thanks Des). Amazing how it seems to all add up !

The optional F1 Hospitality was 50EURO a day, that's a lot of pic nic if you do it via the Supermarche, it's free when you buy the track sessions. Who are you going to share with this year Larence.... Andi?

Hi Des, I should be free for this event this year. It will be good to catch up with the usual crowd again. I'll probably do a Friday until Monday trip, rather than Thursday-Monday. Got any accomodation sorted out yet ? Beau-Site in Hockai is my usual haunt in Spa. Remember the wild boar last time ? PP [8D]

Hi Paul, depending on numbers .. could go with the usual 964RS Group to the B&B, this is basic but good Motorsport orientated Chalet and very reasonable. I have had several personal emails committing to go. Make sure you book the return boat 14.01 Monday 19th Norfolkline. Be really great to see you and that beautiful 993RS. I will put you done as confirmed, let me know about the boat and staying at the aeaventures B&B.

There is a seasoned Thread below .... until I know who is actually coming it is difficult to arrange accommodation, tuition and F1 Garage. So please pm me or post here ....... Ferry is booked Des. I'll be joining you on Friday 16th, and will be returning with you on the 14.01 Monday sailing. Happy to stay at Neil's B&B with the 'crew' - we could have a 'team' dinner at the Beau Site on the Sunday evening. PP [8D]

Souns like a good plan Paul .... do you want to organise dinner Sunday night? Also presume you want B&B Friday, Sat and Sun .. and F1 Box? Please go to the 964RS Forum and see the thread(s) .... Jimmy Mcsquirter is in charge (F1) again this year[;)]

Hi Des, Glad to see you're at the helm again, and apparently in control...... Interest seems to be growing and, as you have said, there is an item in Newsdesk in theFebruary edition of Porsche Post drawing attention to the status of the event. This should be received by PCGB members in the middle of next week. Might even get there myself...... Chris Clark

Hi Chris, don't know about being in control! Just trying to help those first timers who have expressed a strong interest in this fabulous event .... ..[:D]
