I think the whole thing started when Charles dropped a 5 Euro note there last year, apparently one of the sniffer dogs found it ..... [;)]

well it was until they built the new pits, then the trucks could through the tunnel at the top (I believe) Certainly I used to have drive the van around (about 10miles) then could suddenly take the new tunnel.

Never go the long route with out your parking ticket correctly displayed. Almost missed a race because they wouldnt let us in. 3 drivers in race suits with helmets, and licenses matching names in the programme for a race about to start in 45mins, wouldnt let us in. Faced with the prospect of having to walk all the way in until some friendly marshals gave us a lift.

Apparently the track has been closed until further notice, more news later today. The LoT track day on 1st April has been cancelled. I just hope it's reopened in time for the PCF days!

This says that the experts' report will be available later on today and we will know for how long the track will be closed down.

It better be!!![&:]

Why do they need to close the circuit, that tunnel isnt that close to the circuit is it? And isn't the only way in even for HGVs?

Anyway, pleased we are going to be OK. Screwed up some people's weekend though!

The tunnel goes under the "STavelot" curve and there are cracks on the tarmac of the track. So they need to rebuilt the tunnel and resurface the track.

Ah OK, for some reason I thought it didnt, but thats stupid, as you have to cross the circuit somewhere! In which case I think we'll be quite lucky!

And how lucky we are ...

Let's hope the Belgians are better project managers than the French. [;)][;)]

If it was British and French project managers it would take 2 years to excavate []

But at least we would have The Queen to open it! [:D]

We'll have to get Des to formally open it - he can test it with einwasserpumper before we take our cars over the top! [:D]
