Just wondered if any of you fellas were going to go to the Autotrack 2 day event at Spa on 6+7 June 2007? It isn't in May again I see.

I know that Paul H is probably doing the RMA Spa/Ring 4 day special, but I looked into that and with GP tickets and accomodation......it was going to be over 4 grand. So my thughts have moved back to Spa with Autotrack again. Anyone fancy it?

I'll more than likely do these dates, but still sitting on the fence, would like to see what everyone else is doing first

Hi Paul. Those are exactly my thoughts. Let's see what happens. [:)]

Hi Johnny
I have not done my sums yet re the rma day,if its 4k,i will probably not go!
Not a big fan of f1 any more,i thought this event you did not need f1 tickets any way,as you can watch from the ring ,of which i think is closed for the f1 race. super cup will be more fun to watch.
John Chester and co went last year, they will know how it works.

Probably around £1k for the track time at Spa and the 'ring, tunnel ferry, 6 nights hotel accomodation £600ish plus fuel, insurance, tyres etc.. I'd guess £4k isn't far out. Four days on track and 6 nights hotel accomodation.

Hi Paul,
My maths stack up like Pressing's below (thanks for that Pressing!). The cost gets steep when you factor in the Ring hotel RMA have booked out......very expensive.....and £1200 for 2 days insurance at the Ring. It's definitely over 4 grand all in with GP tickets!!!

Thanks mate, see my reply to Paul H!!

Paul it will be a CGT meet at the RMA , it was great last year , hopefully Marky "no-mates" will be with us ...

I cant see myself staying at home with the gt some how,i would not be able to bare it,JC calling me to say how great spa is in the new toy.
And of course there will be the wine bill, which is normaly more than the fuel bill!!

Paul a large chunk of the costs in the above calculations is the insurance and then the tickets for the GP adds a bit more. You're already covered insurance wise aren't you? And you don't want to waste time watching farting rev limited traction controlled F1 cars. They sound terrible exiting corners. As JC says its £995 or something for 4 days tracktime. I'm sure you know what the trips usually cost for the rest of it, wine aside.

Be good if you can go.

I think i will go,a CGT traffic jam might be good.
Not interested in f1 at all, dont mind watching some proper racing,or even better driving myself.
I know what the spending is like, especially after track hours!!
It will be interesting at the end of Kemmel also.

I did the Spa/Ring trip last year, probably going this year. Won't buy GP tickets this time as last year so wiped out by 3 previous days on track I managed to fall asleep watching GP!

Hmmm watching with interest ..............Spa looks very tempting , sposed to do some old rallye in switzerland over BH in old S ...............Spa does seem to be beckoning though!!!

I think the 2 days at Spa with Goldtrack on the 11/12 JULY followed by a couple days at the Ring are looking more and more attractive. Being in July also means there's more chance Spa will be fully ready following the re-work...

Still trying hard to work these dates , 2nd choice for me is the Porsche w/end with the Euros ...Mel going on it..............
