Hi everyone
Recently joined after buying a 987.2 Boxster S PDK. Love it.
After reading several very interesting posts regarding space saver spare wheels etc I decided to buy the 986 version with the 105/95 R17 Continental Tyre complete with scissor jack and foam insert.
It all fits in the front boot very snugly – Great
The posts I read mentioned using a tyre pressure of 60 psi which, indeed, corresponds with the tyre wall data. However, having calculated the tyre pressure using the usual parameters: Max Tyre Load = 600 kg , Maximum tyre pressure = 60 psi and the Gross weight of the car =1675 kg and using a weight distribution of Front 47% and Rear 53%
The result comes out to 44 psi (using the higher 53% weight value)
I calculated this because of the supplied 12 Volt compressor/inflator capacity.
Can anyone comment or advise if I am missing something or if my calcs are incorrect?
