hello chaps

it's probably been covered before but whenever I try a search through threads it never finds anything. anyhow

I'm in the process of fitting new rims to my 85 944 lux. I know that I need additional spacers so that the outside rim of wheel sits where the current wheels do.

on the rear hub there are some very long studs with a 20mm spacer slid over top.
on the front it looks like below picture.

The spacer dimension I require on top of what I have at moment is 15mm so

Do I just need to remove the alloy front bearing hub so that longer studs can fit in and allow a 15mm spacer plate to slip over for the front? and do I fit even longer studs to the rear so that the 20mm spacer can be added to with a 15mm one?

I ask this as I'm unsure if a spacer plate comes with wheel studs fitted and you simply use the current wheel studs to lock the spacer plate in place. any help is much appreciated.

Hello
Both types of spacers are easily available. Choosing the second type obviously is the easiest solution.

I agree but my spacer requirement of 15mm leads me to question how the securing nut of my current setup will sit flush with the spacer if you catch my drift.
