7mm front and 15mm rear hub centric spacers and longer bolts fitted, makes quite a subtle difference.
Just need to fit the Eibachs now..

Bimmec items bought from MAP, £136 in bolts and delivery.

I would worry about the bolts, they look totally wrong in their adverts! Not ball ended and no ally collar?

that will increase under steer though adding even wider on the back than the front !!! the car will push even more into bends.

1.6cm wider on the rear than the front might be noticed by the Stig I suppose! To really scare you I've booked to have the car measured up for a custom exhaust on Friday morning... I feel like the young lad who's come on to a forum and is doing some "crazy" mods, but I'm not young nor are the modifications particularly crazy.. Despite that I'm really enjoying the car and did about 250miles of twisties on Monday. It was sublime (even with the crazy wide rear track) and the desnork and K&N make a lovely noise higher in the rev range. I've not owned a mid engined car before and really wanted an Elise but my wife refused to perform the acrobatics to get in and out but I'm really pleased with the Cayman and think its a great compromise with plenty of practicality.

Cybox in Bromborough, I have used them before when they were Peco in Birkenhead. Should save a few kg, add a decent amount of power and sound fruity!

just get a remus :) that's what I had on my gen 1 car, it was great. take the rear spacers off but leave the front 7mm on, report back :) and tell me if you are the stig not scared. here is my old gen 1 with gt3 bits and 350BHp :)

Nonsense, there is no way you would be able to feel a 1.6cm wider track, you get a bigger variation than that between different tyre manufacturers.

You suggesting tyres vary by 16mm size for size?

Cos you said 'you get a bigger variation than that between different tyre manufacturers' ? Have I misunderstood? - what did you mean?

Again, I wouldn't even think of suggesting a 16mm variation in one tyre.. We were talking about axles after all.

Just interjecting. In answer to that question. Tyres can vary in size. By that I mean for a given size a tyre from one manufacturer can be wider or narrower than the equivalent size from another.
