Hi all,

I am heading off on a Euro trip with the 996 Turbo and I was wondering what are the most useful size spanners I should take in case of roadside emergencies ?

I don't want to take a whole toolbox so I was hoping for the 2-4 most useful sizes that would fit the majority of likely requirements.

Thanks

The most useful sizes are the ones supplied in the car's tool kit. No doubt, if you needed tools, you can be sure that you won't have packed what you need! I would throw in an adjustable spanner, a set of metric allen keys, a set of Torx keys, a couple of decent screwdrivers, a pair of pliers, a tyre pressure gauge, a torch and a pair of work gloves. I have a tool roll set I bought years ago I always throw in the boot whenever we go away, but I have never used it!

or join ADAC which gives you europe widecover including the UK with german efficiency all year round!

last year was 79.5 euro which i think given the cover compares favourably
